The Hide

As part of working with wood weed, Daryl and Will decided to expand on their nest building skills, and build a twig-igloo. If you went down into the woods you would have seen a strange sight, Will and Daryl and a heap of kids (and dads too!) playing about with a vast amount of sticks. Placing them carefully together, one by one, building a round structure that grew upwards throughout the week. A tunnel entrance was made and a round oculus opening in the ceiling appeared, and by the end of the week, a strange twiggy structure had emerged, as if by magic, from the twigs on the woodland floor. The name ‘twigloo’ was batted around but as a group we decided that sounded a little bit too much like a WC. We love this new space, it really is pretty magical and we hope you enjoy it, during your walks around the wood, it’s located near the end of the alphabet trail, see if you can spot it!
