Wild Things - Fire and Feast!

This workshop is being led by Claire of Lucy’s Little Forest School.

A story that speaks to the heart of every child.

Become king (or queen!) of the wild things in our own magical forest. Find the secret path and the story telling circle. Here we will read the classic story Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak.  The Children will be inspired and will start to explore the wood with new eyes.

Make a Wonderful wild thing to take home using clay and natural materials found in the wood.  The leader will have a few secret supplies of natural feathers, string and wool. Create a wild tree creature to leave on a tree at the wood…

This story has an incredibly grounding effect on its readers because it is so real to everyone, it is a story we still hold dear because there is, or was, a wild thing in all of us.

We will create a fire and and cook a toffee apple over the fire.

£13.50 per child Age: 2.5 - 11 years; accompanying adult free (max two adults). Tickets are for children only. Baby siblings free/welcome.

Note: Please arrive and be ready to go 10 mins before the workshop starts, the group can be anywhere in the wood and it may be hard to find them.
