Join the Wilderness Wood team and members for the first Stewardship Saturday of 2026 to get involved with the stewardship and improvement of the woodland. All ages welcome.

We meet at 10am in The Cook House and allocate jobs according to skills and interests. Please bring gloves and boots and relevant tools if you have them.

At 12.30pm - we will gather in the orchard to bless our fruit trees with a celebratory wassail (apparently this was traditionally known as ‘howling’ in Sussex!). Followed by a celebratory lunch in the Cookhouse. Bring a packed lunch and we’ll cook a big pot of vegetarian soup to share.
