Spend a day with Jo, the Woven Owl, and Schools Without Walls and travel back to the days of the Saxons and the Viking Norse.  Learn about the textiles and animal skins they wore and then weave your own wristband or wall hanging.  You will compare how they both wrote then decode a runic puzzle, make your own runic talisman necklace then learn how they made ink, and use a real quill to write a letter describing how you fled from the Viking raid on Lindisfarne.   After handling real and replica artefacts we will work together to defend the camp with a Saxon shield wall!
