Spend a day with Jo, the Woven Owl, and travel back to the world of the Saxons: decode the runic puzzle & make a runic talisman necklace, handle authentic Saxon replica artefacts, learn about their textiles then weave your own wristband; learn how the Saxons lit fires then supplement your own packed lunch with oat and honey cakes cooked over the open fire.  Make your own ‘waster’ sword and work together to defend the camp with a Saxon shield wall.  Then sit around the fire and try to answer Saxon riddles.
